So yesterday I went out on a boat with a few of my friends and joined in on the Seafair madness.  It wasn’t that bad.  I was expecting it to be a total nuthouse with hundreds upon hundreds of boats crammed together while a bunch of drunken fools participated in all sorts of hyjinx and tomfoolery.  And honestly… that’s pretty much what it was, but who woulda thunk I’d find such silliness so endearing?  I had a blast.  It was a lot of fun.  This pretty much marks the third time in a row that I’ve attended some “Seattle Spree” with low expectations (most recently the “Bite of Seattle”)  and come away pleasantly surprised with how entertaining and fun the festivities can be.   I guess a lot of it has to do with the folks I went along with.  Good people…   Good times…

So here is a picture of some random people partying next to us and blasting “Journey” at top volume and singing along to every lyric of the songs.  Just an amazing sight to behold.  We know them only as “The Journey Boat”.   What is it about “Journey”?  I am now officially convinced that this band is stalking me.  I’m serious…  I’ve brought this up to some of you before…  “Journey” is stalking me.  There is no other way around it.  This has been going on for the past few months… I seem to randomly hear “Journey” more than I hear that new “Sexyback” song by Justin Timberlake.  Let that sink in for a second.  I don’t know about you, but something is definitely evil and disturbing about that fact.   I mean really… whoever is producing the soundtrack of my life must have some kind of fetish for Journey or just a random sense of humor.  Hmmm… maybe i’m not alone.  Has anyone else been experiencing this endless barrage of Journey?  Just fair warning… keep your eyes open.  I don’t trust them.

So anyway… “The Journey Boat” was pretty much the random highlight of the day until some genius started blasting the theme music from Top Gun. Hiiiighwaaaay tooo the DANGER ZONE!!! …  Classic.

Just a duck swimming around our boat.  Or is it?  mmmm?  I think it’s very possible that this duck was an evil spy sent directly from “Journey”.  It could be the “evil eye of Steve Perry”.  I can’t stress this enough, folks… Be weary of the Steve Perry.  Fear “The Journey”… It’s for your own good…
